Hello & Welcome to Chino’s Happy Dog House!

My name is Maria and Chino’s is a family-run doggy daycare and boarding service founded out of a deep, lifelong love for all animals and here at Chino’s, caring for your pup is our passion.

Whether it’s just for the day or for an extended stay, every dog that comes through our doors is welcomed as one of our own. They’ll be showered with affection, treated with kindness and given the freedom to be themselves and have fun.

Our inspiration came from our beloved Dalmatian Chino, who brought endless joy and love into our lives before he passed away in 2022. Chino was more than just a pet—He was family, and his memory lives on in every detail of our work and drives our mission to share that love with the rest of Hackney’s pooches.

I am DBS checked, fully insured and canine first aid trained and with a lifetime of experience in caring for dogs, we’re committed to providing a safe, loving and comfy environment where your furry family member’s needs will be our top priority.

We are thrilled to welcome all the wagging tails, licky tongues, tickly tums and sniffy noses on our outdoor adventures and into our home.

What we do

Fun-filled days at our dog daycare

A safe and playful environment for your dog to enjoy the day

  • Collection from home: Each weekday morning between 10–11am, we collect our furry friends either on foot or by car depending on your location. From there, we head straight out for our first adventure of the day.
  • Morning walks and play: Walks are tailored to the group’s needs and energy levels, with 1–2 hours of supervised outdoor fun including paddling, sniffaris and playful social time in Hackney’s lovely green spaces.
  • Mid-day rest and enrichment: Between outings, it’s time to recharge with a balanced mix of rest, garden time, indoor enrichment, play and cuddles, creating a calm yet stimulating environment to relax and reset.
  • Afternoon walk: In the afternoon we head out again for a gentle walk and final burst of play, which provides the dogs the opportunity to burn off energy and return home happy, content and ready to unwind.
  • Home time and updates: All dogs will be dropped off at home between 4-5pm ready to see their families and have evening snuggles, until we do it all again! You’ll also receive photos and videos from your dog’s day so you can share in the fun too.
  • From £40 per day

What our happy clients are saying

Real reviews from pet parents who trust us to care for their furry family members.

Sali

Maria is an absolute gem of a dog carer! From the moment she started looking after our dog Sali, it was clear how passionate and dedicated she is to her work. Maria has a natural way with animals, and our dog adores her — tail wags and excited barks begin the second Maria arrives.

Maria is incredibly kind, patient, and professional, always going above and beyond to ensure our furry friend is happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Her attention to detail, from walking to playtime, is impeccable, and her warm, loving nature makes all the difference. It’s such a comfort knowing our dog is in such capable hands. We couldn’t recommend Maria more highly — she truly is the best!

Olive

It took us years to find someone that cared for our shiba Olive the way we would, and we nearly gave up finding anyone with high standards. Maria is equal parts attentive and loving to Olive, and consistently makes the effort each time to provide genuine care to her; packing Olive’s day with walks, fun, rest, friends and treats.

Maria is dependable and professional and we’ve been so impressed by that way she puts Olive’s safety and comfort in all planning (environment and travelling). You won’t find a better person!

Astro

Maria is one of very few people I would trust with my fur family. Over the past 15 years she has been like a second mum to all of my dogs. I may be biased as she is my sister, but I know she has always treated all dogs with the same love and care as if they were her own. And my dogs have all loved her and been so happy to stay with her.

It is so reassuring to have someone you can fully trust with your dog, especially knowing you can relax on holiday, or going away with work knowing they are in safe hands. I have absolutely no hesitation recommending Maria’s services for dog walking and boarding.

Frequently Asked Questions

All dogs will be considered and assessed during their initial meet and greet and induction period to ensure they are a good match with us and that we are able to give them the care that they need while ensuring their safety and the safety of the other dogs in our care.
Once we have built a bond and trust between us and with your permission, yes we do. If your dog’s recall isn’t perfect, we will work on safely reinforcing their recall using a rewards/treats and a long training line until trust is fully established. We will never let your dog off the lead unless you give us permission to do so, and we will only do so when we feel it is safe. We’ll also make sure we’re briefed on your dog’s temperament and behaviours, and bear this in mind on all walks and environments. Some dogs may benefit from wearing a long lead when out which will allow them the same freedom as the others but provide us with just that little bit of extra security.
Yes, we do like to give treats. We are a vegan household, so primarily provide delicious plant based treats but also keep some really high value (non vegan) treats for training purposes. But if your dog has any particular dietary requirements or allergies, please let us know and feel free to provide your own treats if preferred.
With your permission, we will tag you on photos and videos of your dog on our Instagram stories throughout the day and send you a personal update on our Whatsapp group by the end of the day to let you know how your fur baby’s day was. If you need any further updates such as a text when your dog has been collected and dropped back home, just let us know and we will endeavour to meet your requirements.
We go ahead as normal. On hot days we will take shady walks and give the dogs the opportunity to have a paddle in the river Lea, have lots of water breaks and make sure to travel in the airconditioned car rather than walk on the burning hot pavements. And in very cold or wet weather, we ask that you provide suitable jackets/body suits to keep the majority of your dog warm and dry. In the most extreme conditions, we may reduce the time spent in the park and enjoy more playful activities indoors or in the garden.
We know dogs love nothing more than getting dirty, but we try to keep it to a minimum. However, in some cases we may rinse your dog in the shower but more often than not, we give them a good rub down with a clean towel and use special dog wipes for especially stinky “dirt”. If you’d like to leave a towel or wipes near your front door, we are happy to use them before entering your home.
When possible, we travel on foot but for some locations it is nicer for the dogs to travel in the car which means reducing travel time and increasing play time. Our car is has air conditioning/heating, is spacious and has been customised to give each dog the comfort that they need. All dogs are secured with dog seat belts connected to their harnesses and do not travel in crates.
Our service area is Hackney. We primarily cover a 1-2 mile radius around our base on Glenarm Road E5 0LY. But we also stretch slightly outside of Hackney, so please do get in touch to find out if we can cover your area.
We manage a maximum of 6 dogs at one time. This is dependent on which dogs we have on that particular day and their individual needs.
Once your dog has passed his or her induction, we will ask you to create a whatsapp group with any necessary people included. You’ll then be able to make / amend / cancel bookings. You’ll also be able to add special instructions for us and update your dog’s details when required. We like to make the booking process as easy and flexible for you as possible - to begin, just pop us a message for an initial chat and a meet/walk. Once you’re onboard, we can either confirm a regular weekly routine, or you can simply send over your day requests for the following week.
